How AtheraI collects, uses, and protects your data.
What we collect
When you sign in, we store your account identifier (from your OAuth provider), email, and name. When you use the chat, we store your full conversation history, any uploaded files, and the long-term memories AtheraI extracts about you and your work over time.
Long-term memory is permanent
AtheraI's memory feature works by extracting durable facts from your conversations and retaining them indefinitely so the assistant can recall context across sessions without you re-explaining yourself. Because this is core to how the product works, individual memories cannot be deleted on request, and there is currently no self-service way to remove a specific memory once it has been stored.
Account deletion is not available
AtheraI does not currently offer account deletion. Once an account and its associated data — conversation history, uploaded files, and extracted memories — are created, they remain on our systems for as long as the service operates. If this is a dealbreaker for you, please don't create an account.
How we use your data
We use your conversation history and memory to operate and improve AtheraI, including training and improving our own models and routing logic. We retain full discretion over how account, conversation, memory, and usage data is used, including aggregating, licensing, or sharing it with third parties — which may include commercial partners — on terms we determine. By using AtheraI, you consent to this use.
File uploads
Uploaded files are processed, chunked, and embedded into our vector store so AtheraI can answer questions grounded in their content. Embedded content is retained the same way conversation data is — indefinitely, as part of your account's stored data.
Cookies & sessions
We use authentication cookies from Clerk (our auth provider) to keep you signed in. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data, but no system is perfectly secure, and we don't guarantee against all unauthorized access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Continued use of AtheraI after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
